Today the Democratic Senators tried to pull a fast one by inserting an amendment into an FAA bill to limit the size of magazines a person might buy for their pistol. I guess the idea is in response to a Republican effort to get a vote on the repeal of Obamacare. It sets up a juvenile confrontation designed to provide a "we'll pull our amendment, if you pull yours" scenario. It is a game. When serious people are doing the hard work of trying to sort out the insanity of TARP, Stimulus and bailouts galore, the Democrats are dedicated to games and naner-naner politics.
I would feel a lot better if more of them were interested in the intricate details of Project Gunwalker as it has been investigated and exposed by David Codrea and Sipsey Street's Mike Vanderboegh. While the Democratic Senate has been plotting and planning to keep the will of the people from being done by denying an opportunity for the body to consider a repeal of Obamacare, the ATF has been walking assault weapons down to Mexico to "prove" that American sourced guns are getting into the hands of Mexican drug lords. Do any of the Democratic Senators bother to investigate that? Do any of these same senators give a flying damn that a Customs and Border Protection Agent Brian Terry was killed with one ATF's guns? Or, is it just playing footsie with Obama that they have in mind? Where is the decency to conduct oversight?
Where is the media? This is something that has bothered me for a long time. The considerable passes that the Obama Administration has gotten from the media borders on treason. The people rely on finding out what our government is doing through the media. The reporters have been extended access and opportunities no private citizen might enjoy and all with the idea that they will use that access to present the American people with the truth. Instead, they spend half of their time trying to dig up dirt on political opponents of the Democratic Party and use the rest of their time to cover up for scandals, improprieties and weaknesses of the administrations with whom they feel a political closeness.
It is this cover that the Democratic Administration of Barack Obama has used to pay off political supporters like labor unions; to allow for voter fraud and voter intimidation; to allow for scandals like Project Gunwalker to go unnoticed; to allow for the open disregard of a legal ruling with which they disagree. Through this permissiveness we see the lengths to which a tyrant might go.
Call your senators, tell them to vote against the magazine ban attached to the FAA legislation.
